Trying very hard to blog regularly...

I will try very hard to maintain this blog on mine from now on...

A lot of thoughts for the past years... whether happy or unhappy.. have been lost... not sure if its a good thing or not!

Just did this little quiz survey online: What kind of soul are you?

And I got this results:

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness. Connected to all things spiritual, you are very in touch with your soul. You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable. Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings. You have great vision and can be very insightful. In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself. Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend. You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer. Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Got this picture of the setting sun on the way home.

Have you ever wondered why sun set is so beautiful yet it symbolises the end of another day?

Emo Sunday Evening...

It has to be the rain.... or maybe the gloomy evening that makes me feel even more melancholic then usual on a Sunday evening!

Well, just to share something that I read earlier today:

A story is told about a US soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam . He called his parents from San Francisco . “Mom and Dad, I’m coming home, but I’ve a favor to ask. I have a friend I’d like to bring home with me.”
“Sure,” they replied, “we’d love to meet him.”

“There’s something you should know the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live.”
“No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us.”

“Son,” said the father, “you don’t know what you’re asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can’t let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He’ll find a way to live on his own.”

At that point, the son hung up the phone.

The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn’t know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren’t as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there’s someone who won’t treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Quite true, sometimes when you look back at life, you really discover that life has been full of parasitical people and people who are not even what they preach. It's really difficult to find someone that appreciates you, not to say loves you!

Somehow or rather this song by Adele, Set Fire to The Rain, just came to my mind:

But there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew
All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true
And the games you play, you would always win, always win

But I set fire to the rain
Watched it pour as I touched your face
Let it burn while I cry
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I know its Friday... but somehow or rather, I woke up in a sappy mood... far off from the usual TGIF mood....

and this song Restless by Lighthouse Family came to my mind, its a song that always floats in my mind whenever I am in a unhappy mood:

If you never say goodbye
To the best thing in your life
There are things you don't appreciate
At all

So it's best that you don't try
Holding back the time
Are you ever gonna be
Quite satisfied

Postcard from heaven
Go to where you belong
Never find the perfect situation
Untill you know where you're from

If you ever say goodbye
No regrets, I won't ask why
And I wish you all the best luck
In the world

Should you ever change your mind
Holding back the sunshine
Are you ever gonna be
Quite satisfied

Postcard from heaven
Go to where you belong
Never find the perfect situation
Untill you know where you're from

Postcard from heaven
Go to where you belong
Never find the perfect situation
Untill you know where you're from

That song really best describes human nature of only appreciating things when you lose them....

Right now, I really kinda miss the smell of smoothering charcoal waiting to be fully ignited, the alkaline smell of charcoal ash, the smell of smoke, the acidic sour smell of vinegar...

These are some things that I know will never be back again....
