And I walked straight into this pit hole near the MRT and nearly sprained my ankle... so paiseh....

sigh!

Wind Element Balancing Treatment

Met up with my friend Cedric today...

He's a alternative healing practioner... and he helped balanced the wind element in me...

apparently, he discovered that I am a very emotional and stressed at this point of time.. which is like so true!!!! High wind element within me.. maybe it's time I should just break wind and let go??? haha...

We had dinner at Megumi Japanese Restaurant at Sunset Way, which is near me..

The food was not bad.. I tried the Japanese Saikoro Beef Steak Set, which came with succulent beef steak, preserved radish, miso soup, steamed rice and watermelon.... The scallop chawanmushi that I ordered was also very good.. the egg steamed to perfection and the scallops was fresh!!!!

Desert was sesame ice cream, it was nice, but I felt that it melted too fast... thus the duration of time to enjoy something frozen was much shorter then expected.

Nonetheless, the service by whom I think is the lady boss was excellent, she never failed to refill my cup without being asked to!!! I just really appreciate that!

Happy Ending...

Just wanted to share this song with all my readers today....

Happy Ending by Mika...

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.

Wake up in the morning, stumble on my life
Can't get no love without sacrifice
If anything should happen, I
guess I wish you well
A little bit of heaven, but
a little bit of hell

This is the hardest story
that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

2 o'clock in the morning,
something's on my mind
Can't get no rest; keep walkin' around
If I pretend that nothin'
ever went wrong, I can get
to my sleep
I can think that we just carried on

This is the hardest story
that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

A Little bit of love, little bit of love
Little bit of love, little
bit of love [ repeat ]

I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

Hey Hey Hey HEY!

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
To live the rest of our life,
But not together.

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
To live the rest of our life,
But not together.

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.

A toss to being overcharged

Had dinner with my family today...

Somehow or rather, its a tradition to have a nice toss of yu sheng with my immediate family members once a year... we went to this Japanese restaurant..

As usual, the yu sheng was nice..

But when we were paying for the bill, we realised that we had been overcharged!!!!!!

Thankfully, I checked the bill before paying...

The Green Green Grass of Home

Went back to ACS(I).....
I almost was lost there... what used to be so familliar to me.. had changed so much.... come to think of it.. its been some 10 years since I graduated from ACS(I).

From Dover Road, the school still looks pretty much the same... but as I stepped into the main building, I was surprised to see that what used to be the adminstration office is now a huge staff room, what used to be our centre for performing arts is now a chapel.
The iconic clock tower of ACS(I), note the new wing on the right...
And there is even a new wing within the school...

But beyond the unfamilliar new facade, lay old ties that are still strong.

Met up with several of my secondary school teachers within the short period of time:

Mdm Han (Chinese Teacher), Mrs Judy Ho (that taught me History, still remembered that she first joint the school when I was in Sec 1), Mdm Yong, Dr Phillip Tieh... of course there are many new teachers around which I found unfamilliar too...

Really hope that I will have chance to meet up with even more of my teachers soon... and of course, to all my secondary school classmates, its time for a reunion.... 10 years!

Happy Birthday everyone!!!

7th Day of the Lunar New Year marks Everyone's birthday!!!

Here's wishing everyone a happy birthday...

Had a busy place darting from place to place today... trying to clear my personal matters before work begins tommorrow, thus missing the usual yusheng feast that we normally celebrate with!

But nonetheless, I ain't complaining.... had been eating pretty much a lot of yusheng since the begin of the Lunar New Year!

Tai Tai Hoohah

Back in Singapore this evening.. and went to a live fish shop near my place to stock up on my frozen feed supplies...

This tai tai, with LV and all, was kicking up a big fuss that the cardinal tetras she bought from the shop had ick when she introduced them.... and the ick wiped out her whole tank and she is facing a lot of troubles now and stuff, a lot of medication needed as her tank is very big (5ft).... overheard all her big fusses at the counter..

Obviously, she left her brains in the bank, if you are a fish keeper, the onus is on you to inspect the fish before you buy.

Also, the key word to introducing fishes is QUARENTINE.. how can one simply just dump newly bought fishes into a stablised tank... its equivalent to unleashing Pandora's box!

Another thing that made me chuckle silently was... if your tank is 5ft, try lowering the water level to half or even quarter the usual level, wont that be lesser water volume then usual, so you wont need that much medication?

Trust me tai tai, you should just jolly well appreciate ur LV... tsk tsk... by the way, fishes need oxygen... isnt that obvious enough... duh~

Warm chat over dessert...

Had a nice cosy chat with my cousins over dessert today...

We went all the way to Malacca Town to find a place to sit down to chat...

Its really been some time since we sat down and talk freely.. since everyone has their own schedule and we dont really get to meet up with each other often....

Even though the dessert was sub standard.. but the company was quality...

CJ7

Watched CJ7 with my relatives today at home...

The plot of the story is a rather simple one.. but the message it carries across just warms the heart subtly, especially the part when Stephen Chow falls out with his son, and dies after a freak accident.. almost heart wrenching...

A somewhat deviation from most Stephen Chow films are that this one does not really has much comical elements into it....

Lucky Bamboo and Yu Sheng

Was out visiting relatives today... and stumbled across this very rare phenomen.... Lucky bamboo plant with flowers..

According to Chinese belief, its a rare occurance and its supposedly brings good luck to whoever sees it.. so here is a pic I took to share with all:

May Good fortune be bestowed to all who see this pic!

Celebrated my Grandma's birthday today with a toss of yusheng at our Kampung restaurant today too!

Festivity Warfare

Sometimes I really gasp in awe about the effects of the Chinese New Year...
Imagining... mass migration of millions of Chinese around the world.. going back to their hometowns to celebrate the festive season.
Back here in sunny Singapore, the Chinese New Year just brings about huge crowds...

This morning, was at Ghim Moh Wet Market and noticed the huge throngs of people there.. all buying their supplies of food and more... it was as though everything was for free there... or perhaps.. a war was coming.. time to stock up on rations.. Not to forget how the same amount of supplies would cost you like almost double as what they would cost normally!!!

Went to Far East Flora at Ridout Garden later in the evening..and got some nice plants.. a pot of Lucky Bamboo that has been twisted into the shape of a pineapple as well as some guzmanias...
Really wonder how they manage to twist all the stems together to form this arrangement.. creative!

Bermuda Triangle in Singapore

Another one of my sacrastic titles today...

Why so???

Was dining at Rong Guang BBQ Fish at Alexandra Village Food Centre today... The BBQ fishes is fantastic there... but as we were sitted kinda further from the store then usual... in fact, pretty near to a new competitor of theirs...

They refused to give us the proper bowls, chopsticks and spoons.. instead plastic substitutes were given in place. When I asked if they could give us plastic chopsticks instead... the reply was their utensils and cutlery often get lost beyond "their area" and that if I wanted the plastic chopsticks, I must return it to them personally after my meal!!!!

Voila... welcome to Uniquely Singapore's very own Bermuda Triangle...

If you drink.. don't drive...

I guess the government's constant campaigning about drunk driving has paid off.....

Was in town today... doing some very last minute shopping... went from Tangs to Wisma to CentrePoint to Takashimaya.... to look for new year clothes... Finally settled for a dark wine coloured long sleeve shirt from G2000 black label range.. which is apparently more upmarket compared to its normal range...

On the way back home on the train, this guy threw up when the train approached Dover MRT station.. I really pity the guy who was standing next to him.. his clothes and bag were all stained by the vomit.....

Really.. as what my title of the day states... if you drink don't drive.. if you drink and take public transport.. please dont puke!
