What a disappointment, UOB!

Was on the way to work, when I decided to pop by the petrol station to top up my vehicle.

When I was about to settle my payment, the cashier told another customer that there was something wrong with the card terminal. The other customer called UOB card centre and was informed that the terminal was down and would be up and running in 10 mins.

So we were left there waiting for the terminal to be up. 30 mins later, the terminal was still not up.... and the cashier was still trying frantically to solve the problem.

I find it strange that the people at the UOB card centre make empty promises to solve problems.
